Location: Zion

Overview:

Working with Zion National Park's two IT specialists, the internship will include the following general activities: IT Help Desk support, IT inventory management, database/server management, and Data and Voice Network management. A large portion of this internship will revolve around the installation of a new park-wide phone system.

Housing is not available for this position.

Position Responsibilities: - Zion Group IT Help Desk support: assisting users, resetting domain passwords, troubleshooting login issues and general IT support. - IT inventory management: Installation of new machines and components, the removal of E waste in accordance with the Park’s EMS policies. - Database/Server management: Reviewing and verifying the daily and weekly backups, software updates, and general Server support. - Data and Voice Network management: Monitoring the Data and Voice switches and routers, installing and repairing network cables.

Qualifications:

Highest consideration will be given to applicants that possess a working knowledge of Windows, IOS, and Android. Interpersonal skills and the ability to get along with others will go a long way. Applicant must be able to pass a federal background check. Clean, driving record preferred.
